“1. Introduction
Astrology is an ancient system of knowledge designed to predict various events in a person’s life based on his horoscope. One of the popular predictive systems is Chara Dasha, which allows to divide a person’s life into periods according to the signs of the zodiac. In this article, we will look at the basic principles of the interesting but complex Chara Dasha system, and explain how it is used to make and interpret horoscopes.
2. Chara Dasha Theory
A. Basics of the system
Chara Dasha is a predictive system that analyzes a person’s life through successive periods and sub-periods corresponding to the signs of the zodiac. In total, there should be at least 12 periods and 12 sub-periods, each of which also corresponds to the signs of the zodiac. The system is rather complicated and requires careful calculation, as its logic is not direct.
B. Calculation of periods and subperiods
Calculations for Chara Dasha are performed using software such as Jagannatha Chora, which is available free of charge on the Internet. The program allows accurate period calculations without requiring the user to have an in-depth knowledge of the technical aspects of the system.
B. Software for calculations
Jagannatha Chora program is a handy tool for calculating Chara Dasha periods. It helps to avoid time-consuming manual calculations and ensures accuracy of results, which is especially important for correct interpretation of data.
3. Principles of Chara Dasha interpretation
A. Using Dr. Rao’s adjustments
For correct analysis of periods in Chara Dasha it is recommended to use Dr. Rao’s settings. His methodology is somewhat different from classical astrology, offering more accurate calculations and results. Therefore, it is important to choose his method when customizing the software.
B. Astrological houses and their meanings
Astrological houses play a key role in analyzing a horoscope. In Chara Dasha system, each sign of zodiac can become the first house for a particular period of time. The horoscope is analyzed with respect to that sign, which allows a detailed look at the influence of planets in that period.
B. Redrawing the horoscope
For beginner astrologers it is recommended to redraw the horoscope manually to better understand the changes in the position of planets. For example, if the period corresponds to the sign of Aries, the horoscope is redrawn relative to Aries and all planets are placed in their new context. This helps in interpreting the influence of different planets and houses more accurately.
4. Planets-Karakis
A. Fixed Caracas
Fixed Karakas or planets are elements that always mean the same thing for all horoscopes. For example:
– Jupiter is the teacher
– Moon is the mother.
– Sun is the father.
B. Movable Caracas
Apart from the fixed ones, movable karakas are used in Chara Dasha to signify different aspects of life and change depending on the degree of the planet in the horoscope. Some of them include:
– Atma Karaka is the highest degree planet and is responsible for the body and the first domain.
– Amatya Karaka – the second highest degree planet, associated with finances and career.
– Putra Karaka – indicates children and fame.
– Matru Karaka – indicates mother and residence.
B. Examples of moving Karakas
The karaka planets in Chara Dasha include the following:
– Dar-Karaka: indicative of husband or wife.
– Gnati Karaka: affecting enemies, debts and illnesses.
5. Sign Aspects
A. Movable, immobile and dual signs
In Chara Dasha, three types of zodiac signs and their aspects are taken into account:
– Movable (cardinal): aspects to fixed signs other than neighboring signs.
– Immobile: aspects to mobile signs, except neighboring signs.
– Dual: aspects to each other without exception.
B. Aspects and their influence on predictions
Unlike classical astrology, Chara Dasha uses sign aspects, which are primary in analyzing the influence of planets on various events and periods in a person’s life. When using these aspects, the planets influence each other and the houses in which they are located, which makes it possible to predict the development of events more accurately.”
“6. Examples of horoscopes
A. Horoscope of the Adult Male
#1. Sagittarius period and Virgo subperiod
The first horoscope under consideration belongs to an adult male whose marriage was broken during the period of Sagittarius and the subperiod of Virgo. Analyzing the horoscope from Sagittarius, we can see that the Dar Karka (the planet responsible for the spouse) is the Moon. Moon is in the eighth house, which is the house of crisis, the house of death and various troubles. Aspects from the first house involving Saturn, Mercury, Sun and Mars in Sagittarius indicate unfavorable events affecting health, marriage, real estate and career.
The second sub-period of Virgo, which is the eighth house period from Lagna, shows similar crisis influences. Ketu, located in the seventh house from Virgo, indicates the destruction of marriage in this sub-period, especially given the additional unfavorable aspects and planetary placements.
#2. Leo period
The Leo period is also considered for this horoscope. In the Leo period, it can be seen that Dar Karka is in the twelfth house, indicating a continuation of loneliness and a period of crisis without threat to life. There are no deleterious planets in the first house, which denotes a period of lull and reassessment of priorities aimed at financial well-being and solving psychological problems.
B. Child Horoscope
#1. Libra period
In the considered horoscope of a child who has health problems, the Libra period represents the first house of the horoscope without reversals. In Libra period, atma karaka (Venus) is in the seventh house, indicating safety for the life of the child. However, Moon as Gnati Karka is placed in the eighth house which is a neutral position for the planet of enemies, debts and diseases which does not bring any significant health threat.
#2. Pisces Period
The period of Pisces (April 2020 – October 2020) is considered unfavorable as it is the period of the sixth house, the house of diseases and enemies. Mercury in decline in the first house from Pisces indicates mental overstrain and ill health. The zodiac signs aspecting the first house further worsen the situation, which predicts a period of illness and stress for the child.
